DRYiCE MyXalytics 6.1

Release 6.1 gyrates around the inclusion of services [Load Balancer & Public IP] in the cost recommendations module, FinOps Advisories, VRops integration & CSP Discount Management.

The document is aimed to let External & Internal Users know about the features/enhancements and other bugs.

MyXalytics is a unified reporting and dashboarding solution which helps enterprises by providing unparalleled visibility into the performance of their IT systems and processes. It helps in providing people and enterprises the clarity they need to drive continuous operational improvements. FinOps offering of the MyXalytics tool helps enterprises to stay on top of their cloud spending. The tool also provides flexibility to define and design custom reports leveraging the GUI-based data analyzer and repo­rt builder. It helps enterprises to effectively visualize, manage, and optimize their multi-cloud spending.

• VRops Integration

  • New Adapter workflow for VROPS. Workflow allows the system to run the data sync for performance parameters in parallel for a bunch of devices and collects data

  • VRops integration – VRops SDK has been used to collect the data for (VM/Cluster/Disk/Data Store). Different instances of VRops can be integrated for a single customer, allowing the collection of inventories for all the VRops in a unified data model

  • VRops Integration for Inventory (VM, Host, Cluster, Disk)

  • Integration lays down the base for creating the cost model for private billing

  • Performance Data ingestion via VROPS
    
    VROPS VM performance (CPU usage, Memory usage, Disk read IO, disk write IO, disk read throughput and disk write throughput) collection setup is available OOB from MYXA. Existing DC Dashboards for VM’s will be populated with data as soon as integration is up and running.
     

    
    

     

• Ingestion of Amortized and Actual Cost

  • Customers can view the cost difference and real monetary benefits by opting for a Reservation. Comparison will allow users to see the difference between PayG cost and reservation cost for applicable services.
     

    

     

• FinOps Practitioner Advisory

  • Admin console for FinOps Practitioner to Feed/Edit the latest Advisories per Cloud provider. Also, we have enabled the end user console for users to view and export the latest advisory managed by FinOps Practitioner with functionality such as Text Editor which gives full control over text formatting to smarten and organize the texts.
     

    

     

• Cost Optimizations [Waste Elimination]

  • Cloud providers across the globe recognize the significance of eliminating unnecessary expenses and streamlining their operations. By closely examining resource allocation, optimizing storage, and fine-tuning usage patterns, these providers can identify areas of inefficiency and target them for improvement. Our Waste Elimination Optimization technique of decommissioning instances is to maximize cost efficiency.

  • MyXalytics FinOps is not fully capable of AWS Snapshot failure data collection and Reporting based on the tag data. With this requirement data collection setup is now available as OOB.
  • With MyXalytics, data collection is now available as OOB for AWS Report. This report will help in identifying Snapshots crossed their retention age based on backup policy so this can be heightened to the backup team for final resolution.
     
    

• Candle-Light Report Visualization

  • Candle-light chart to provide visualization for the system performance trend utilization depicting Highest, Lowest, average, and opening stats for any metric being shown in trend format. This visualization is very well suited for the performance trending for a widget in the insights section
     
    
    where Min, Max and average are available.

• Cost & Data Visibility

  • We have now full Cost visibility for Egress traffic. This report provides the visibility of consumption done on Egress traffic cutting across all providers. Also, we can now create reports for Commvault Backup.

• CSP Discount Administrations

  • FinOps CSP Team can use the CSP discount console to create a discount matrix for the customer who opts for CSP program where the discount can be marked at 4 levels: Service> Publisher Type> Subscription> Billing Account. If CSP Team wants to provide custom discounts on specific services and some different accounts on remaining services, then the user can define 2 discounts [ Service & Billing Account]. The Console is now available to FinOps CSP Team to convert a customer to CSP customer and define the discounts for the customer.
    {CSP Discount is only available for Azure Discount model, AWS & GCP are planned for upcoming release.}
